How Much Does Construction Video Production Cost in Vancouver?
A practical guide to construction video pricing in Vancouver, including progress films, drone coverage, interviews, site visits, and the factors that shape a quote.

Construction video pricing can feel vague because no two sites need the same coverage. A one-day project profile is very different from a year of monthly progress visits.
This guide explains the main cost drivers so Vancouver contractors, developers, and marketing teams can build a realistic brief before requesting a quote.
Current NC construction package starting prices
As of October 22, 2026, NC Productions offers Project Showcase from CAD $2,500, Flagship Project Film from CAD $5,000, and Construction Content Partnership from CAD $3,500 per month with an initial three-month term. These are starting prices for the defined construction packages, not market averages or a quote for every site.
All prices are before tax. Travel, additional sites, restricted access, extra crew and additional edits are scoped separately. Drone work is separately scoped and depends on lawful operation, site permission, airspace and weather. Your written quote confirms the deliverables, delivery schedule, revisions, usage rights and music licensing.
See the construction service page for each package’s current filming time and included edits. General content-package discounts and add-on prices do not automatically apply to construction work. These packages do not include permanent timelapse cameras, surveying, inspection or engineering services.
What affects the price?
The largest factors are the number of filming days, locations, crew size, drone requirements, interviews, editing complexity, and the number of final videos. Active sites may also require extra coordination for access, safety, and scheduling.
- Number and length of site visits
- Ground, drone, interview, and timelapse coverage
- Travel across Metro Vancouver or British Columbia
- Final film length, social cutdowns, captions, and revisions
Common construction video projects
A short site update costs less than a polished case study with interviews, motion graphics, and several locations. Recurring progress coverage is usually planned as a package because a consistent schedule and shot list make each visit more efficient.
- Monthly progress updates
- Completed-project case studies
- Company and recruitment films
- Bid, investor, and stakeholder presentations
How to get an accurate quote
Share the project location, construction schedule, required site visits, intended audience, and final deliverables. If you need drone footage, mention the address early so airspace and flight restrictions can be reviewed.
- Provide milestone dates and site rules
- List interview subjects and approval contacts
- Name every format you need, including vertical clips
- Share examples of the style and pace you like
Where to spend your budget
Prioritize footage that will stay useful after the build is complete. Strong interviews, clear before-and-after coverage, and a planned final case study usually create more long-term value than collecting large amounts of footage without a story.
- Capture major milestones that cannot be recreated
- Record client and project-lead interviews while details are fresh
- Plan website, proposal, recruitment, and social uses together
A simple next step
A short discovery call is normally enough to define the visit schedule and deliverables. From there, the production team can price the actual scope instead of giving a broad estimate that may not fit the project.
Compare two quotes against the same site schedule
Ask each supplier to price the same milestone visits and exports. A low per-visit price can become a higher total if editing, travel, captions or the final project film are separate. Request a written scope showing the whole project cost and any assumptions.
- Coverage: number of visits, time on site, access contact and weather contingency.
- Outputs: one named master film, number of cutdowns, aspect ratios and caption files.
- Commercial terms: travel, revisions, licensed music, paid advertising rights and optional raw footage.
- Approvals: one reviewer, review deadlines and what triggers an additional charge.
Frequently asked questions
Can construction video be priced per visit?
Yes. One-time visits can be quoted separately, while recurring projects are often packaged for consistency and efficiency.
Is drone footage included?
It depends on the package, location, weather, and airspace. Confirm drone requirements before the shoot.
Can one shoot create several videos?
Yes. A planned shoot can produce a main film, short social edits, interview clips, and a reusable footage library.
