Classly by NC Productions

Privacy policy

Effective September 28, 2026 · Applies to the Classly iPhone app

Classly helps you organize a weekly timetable and receive class reminders. NC Productions does not require an account and does not operate a server that receives your timetable.

Your timetable stays on your device

The app stores the details you enter—such as subjects, class numbers, instructors, times, buildings, floors, rooms, and optional emoji—along with reminder and appearance preferences in local app storage on your iPhone. These details are used to display your schedule and create reminders. Classly does not send them to NC Productions.

Reminders and permissions

If you allow notifications, Classly gives iOS the information needed to schedule local class reminders. Notifications may display class and location details on your lock screen, depending on your iPhone settings. You can turn reminders off in Classly and change notification permissions or preview visibility in iPhone Settings. Classly does not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera, photos, or device location.

Classly Pro purchases

Optional Pro purchases and restoration are handled through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. Classly checks Apple-verified transaction information to determine whether Pro is active. NC Productions does not receive your payment-card details through Classly. Apple processes purchases under its own privacy policy and may provide developers with App Store sales and reporting information.

Backups you control

With Pro, you can export your timetable as a JSON file and restore it later. Exported files contain your class details. You choose where to save or share them. If you choose iCloud Drive or another storage provider, that provider handles the file under its own policies. Your device’s Apple backup settings may also include local app data. Classly does not provide its own cloud-sync service.

Analytics and tracking

The Classly app contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. It does not send your timetable or app-usage events to NC Productions. Apple may collect diagnostics or provide developer reports according to your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.

If you contact support

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond and investigate your request, and keep correspondence only as long as needed for support and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Do not include unnecessary class, student, or other personal information. You can request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or delete classes in the app, disable reminders, and delete Classly to remove its local app data. Exported files and device backups are separate: manage or delete those through the service where you saved them. Deleting the app does not delete Apple purchase records or request a refund.

Students and children

Classly can be used without an account and does not ask for a student’s age or identity. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app. If a child sends personal information to our support address, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion.

This website and external services

This policy describes the Classly app. When you open these support pages or an external link, your browser contacts the website and its hosting provider, which may process connection information such as your IP address to serve and protect the site. These Classly pages do not include an analytics or advertising script. Apple’s practices are described in Apple’s privacy policy.

Updates

We will update this page if Classly’s data practices change and revise the effective date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
